Cleaning and maintenance of stainless steel

Everyday advice

Most stainless steel sinks are made of premium quality chrome-nickel steel. This high-quality material gives our sinks an attractive look and allows them to withstand stains, rust and corrosion. This is how we created a stainless steel paste specifically designed for the maintenance of this special material. This polishing paste, easy to apply, protects your sink or gives it back its luster. It is enough to spread a small quantity on a damp cloth, to rub it on the surface and to let it rest. Then rinse with water and polish with a dry cloth. Make sure to take good care of your garbage disposal unit. If you need some ideas for products you can check out this site

Take care of the surface

Unless they are very deep and unpleasant to the sight, scratches on stainless steel surfaces are not always a bad thing. In fact, over time, small scratches, when numerous, give your products an attractive matte look. However, when you have a deep scratch that you want to mitigate, here’s what you can do: get a Scotch-Brite pad and our white stainless steel paste. Apply enough paste to cover the scratch, then wipe with your pad in the grain direction of the surface. When the scratch seems to have disappeared, rinse to remove the excess paste and clean the surface with a dry cloth.

Stubborn stains and rust

The rust on stainless steel comes from iron particles from an external source. If you want to remove rust stains from your products, we recommend using a cleaning product containing oxalic acid (check your hardware store for details). Always use mild and non-abrasive cleaning products to remove stubborn stains from your stainless steel and ensure you thoroughly flush the cleaning fluids once you have finished. Oh, one more note: when cleaning your stainless steel, make sure to NEVER USE STEEL WOOL PADS. We thank you in advance, as well as our stainless steel.

Stray Dog Statistics

In Europe, the number of stray dogs oscillates between 100 and 150 million. Of the 27 member countries of the Union, 16 are overcrowded. What about different countries?

The situation is alarming, but what percentage of dogs are homeless? There are between 100 and 150 million stray dogs in Europe according to the European Society of Dog and Animal Welfare (ESDAW). Does the world know of this problem? How can we stop this international phenomenon?

stray dog

Are stray dogs a threat?

No, because thanks to an effective and rigorous legislation. Their overpopulation is avoided. Regulations are composed of four main points: compulsory management by the town hall or the municipality of the reported wandering dog , transfer of the animal to a place of depot for a maximum of 8 days, active search by the owner’s pound and in case failure, placement of the animal in an animal welfare association to consider an adoption. However, as 39,000 dogs are abandoned each year, 10,000 of them during the summer period, some shelters are sometimes overburdened and forced to resort to euthanasia. The overpopulation of stray dogs mainly affects DOM-TOM where the relationship to these dogs is not the same. The animal belongs to the villages or the streets and there are no emotional ties or given care. The financial crisis does not help the situation!

What actions are helping?

In Europe, on a daily basis, the foundation assists the 300 shelters or shelters, investing more than 2 million euros per year: food, veterinary expenses and works. But they also act abroad, especially in Ukraine where public opinion has been moved by mass euthanasia against the stray dogs organized by the government, in anticipation of Euro 2012 and the influx of tourists. In collaboration with an Austrian association and the Ukrainian Minister for Ecology, our foundation has raised € 250,000 to create six mobile clinics throughout the country. These structures currently offer sterilization and vaccination campaigns. After Euro 2012, they will remain on site to monitor the behavior of the Ukrainian authorities. Euthanasia, often barbarous, must cease.

How can we stop overcrowding?

The only effective methods are identification, sterilization and vaccination of dogs. These are the official solutions advocated by the World Health Organization. The education of the owners is also paramount. They must be sensitized to the tragedy of abandonment and obliged to tattoo, vaccinate and sterilize their animals. Obviously, all these initiatives have a price: a sterilization costs a hundred euros. Consequently, the EU or its member states should reserve a budget for this purpose. Euthanasia, for its part, serves no purpose! It reduces the stray dog population at once, but does not produce any long-term results. Dogs breed quickly and another generation will replace the old one.

Why punishing your dog is totally ineffective

Find out why you have everything to gain by not punishing your dog! Many people believe that punishing his dog is useful and many also do it because they do not know what else to do. And then terrible advice on the dog’s education continue to circulate and mislead masters – advice that date from another age! Our knowledge has changed a lot. The best educators will tell you that punishment is absolutely unnecessary. They will tell you that punishing a dog is doesn’t accomplish anything. It is even a serious obstacle to solve your problems.  They will always do naughty things like escape, if you want to know why read more

Here are 3 reasons why punishing your dog has no use.

1- The dog never understands why he is being punished

confused pupThe concept of punishment using an unpleasant stimulus (shaking, tapping, screaming etc.) completely confuses the dog. The punishment remains popular despite the advances in dog behavior research. One of the main problems is that the dog’s abilities are overestimated.

The dog has absolutely no awareness of what is good or bad, polite or rude, pleasant or unpleasant, clean or dirty. It’s not easy to get this out of your head when you live with a pet that is part of family life, but if you do, you take a very big step forward to solve all your issues.

The dog does not know that peeing on your carpet is dirty, gnawing at the feet of a piece of furniture is very bad, digging holes to unearth your plants ruins all your work, shredding your shoes requires you to spend money to buy a new pair, howling does not please you at all. He does not know this and he can not understand it.

Whatever the reason a dog is punished, he does not know why, and punishing the dog every time he makes a mistake is not going to help him understand. He is unable to integrate this kind of human reasoning because it is too complex: look at what you have done, I am disappointed, I am angry, it is dirty, I’m tired, you irritate me, Listen, this object is expensive and the spoil partly forces me to buy a brand new.  Blah blah all nonsense to him.

2- They don’t learn

defiant dogPunishing his dog is not a method of learning, which is why it starts again and again and you would go much faster if you could focus only on what really works.

If you want to solve a problem, you must teach your dog to do what you want. By punishing him, what do you teach him? It’s dirty, it’s bad, it’s annoying … in short you actually try to teach him human concepts that are totally out of the reach of animals. No doubt that your dog is smart but not to the point of understanding that your carpet has cost a lot of money and that to poop on it is the very bad.

For decades we have known that animals can not learn things sustain-ably by being punished for what they have done wrongly and that the learning methods that work best are based on motivation and motivation. A good motivation is not a threat. A good motivation is something that is desired . When what is desired is achieved, good behavior is repeated.

3- The dog does not learn to respect rules

The dog learns to do things. He learns to pee outside, he learns not to shred more shoes or electric wires, he learns not to jump on people again. He does not learn new rules that aren’t congruent with his natural instincts.

Too much bad information is still being spread, false information based mainly on old popular beliefs. As a result, many teachers continue to punish and believe that using motivation is not enough. Motivation, this does not only work for standing lying down. This also works for all sorts of unpleasant behaviors that you want to stop.
